Required
Bachelor’s degree in public health or related field and a minimum of 1 year of professional experience in administration is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Previous experience building and maintaining partnerships.
Ability to travel within the State of Iowa is required. Ability to meet the University of Iowa Fleet Safety Program driving standard is required.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Zoom.
Must reside in one of the following rural counties in Iowa: Allamakee, Appanoose, Audubon, Benton, Bremer, Buchanan, Buena Vista, Butler, Calhoun, Carroll, Cedar, Cerro Gordo, Cherokee, Chickasaw, Clarke, Clay, Clayton, Clinton, Crawford, Davis, Decatur, Delaware, Dickinson, Emmet, Fayette, Floyd, Franklin, Greene, Grundy, Hamilton, Hancock, Hardin, Harrison, Howard, Humboldt, Ida, Iowa, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Jones, Keokuk, Kossuth, Louisa, Lucas, Lyon, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Marshall, Mitchell, Monona, Monroe, Muscatine, O’Brien, Osceola, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Poweshiek, Ringgold, Sac, Shelby, Sioux, Tama, Union, Wapello, Washington, Wayne, Webster, Winnebago, Winneshiek, Worth, or Wright. Highly Desirable
Master’s degree in public health or related field.
Desirable
3+ years in community engagement, healthcare coordination, or technical assistance.
Knowledge of rural health systems and Hub-and-Spoke care models.
Experience interviewing and/or qualitative data collection and analysis.
Experience with identifying, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based interventions.
Previous experience in program and/or project management.
Knowledge of and experience related to health and cancer-related issues facing communities in Iowa.
Personal or professional experience with cancer, cancer control, public health, and/or health care.
