Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and install roofing materials using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine project requirements
• Prepare roofing surfaces by removing old materials and performing necessary repairs or restoration work
• Install various roofing systems including shingles, metal panels, tile, or membrane roofing with precision
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols
• Seal joints and seams with caulking or other sealants to ensure waterproofing integrity
• Collaborate with team members on framing carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or other related tasks as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while ensuring compliance with safety standards at all times

Qualifications

• Proven experience in roofing installation and repair on construction sites
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics, and heavy lifting techniques
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication processes
• Familiarity with various roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, stucco, tile laying, or membrane systems
• Experience in related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry), masonry, plumbing or remodeling is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy physical tasks including lifting heavy materials safely and efficiently
• Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and OSHA standards
• Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail in restoration or renovation projects
