Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Research and Development Product Development Engineer located in Southington, CT. The role involves designing and developing innovative medical products, conducting product testing and validation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and quality assurance. Additional responsibilities include developing prototypes, creating technical documentation, and analyzing data to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The Product Development Engineer will play a vital role in driving advancements in IV therapy technologies to meet the needs of healthcare professionals and patients.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in mechanical and/or biomedical engineering principles, materials science, and product design
• Experience with CAD software, prototyping, and testing methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis and validation
• Understanding of regulatory requirements for medical device development, such as ISO and FDA standards
• Effective collaboration and communication skills for teamwork across diverse departments
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
• Experience in medical device product development is an advantage
