Regional President (Energy Sector)
II. Job Overview
The Regional President is fully responsible for the company’s business operations and strategic execution in a designated region (such as North America, Asia Pacific, Europe, or a major region in China). This includes driving energy project development, market expansion, investment returns, and organizational management to ensure regional performance growth and long-term value creation.
III. Core Responsibilities
1. Strategy and Business Development
Formulate and execute regional development strategies, aligning them with the Group’s overall strategy.
Lead the layout and expansion of regional energy markets (electricity, oil and gas, new energy, etc.).
Identify and promote mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures (JV), and major investment opportunities.
Tracking industry trends (such as carbon neutrality, energy transition, energy storage technology, etc.) and developing corresponding strategies.
2. Project Development and Operation Management
Responsible for the full lifecycle management of energy projects within the region (development, construction, operation).
Supervise the implementation and delivery of large-scale energy projects (such as wind farms, photovoltaic power plants, grid projects, etc.).
Improve operational efficiency, optimize cost structure, and increase return on assets (ROA/IRR).
Ensure the achievement of production safety, environmental compliance (EHS), and sustainable development goals.
3. Sales and Market Expansion
Establish and maintain key customer relationships (government, power companies, large industrial customers, etc.).
Promote the signing of power purchase agreements (PPAs) and energy supply contracts.
Lead the team to achieve regional revenue and profit targets.
Expand new energy businesses (such as energy storage, hydrogen energy, distributed energy, etc.).

Promote organizational capacity building and talent development
Establish a high-performance culture and improve team execution
6. Finance and Performance Management
Responsible for regional P&L (profit and loss)
Develop budgets, monitor costs and improve profitability
Report operating results and key performance indicators to the group
IV. Job Requirements
Education Background
Bachelor’s degree or above in Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields
MBA preferred
Work Experience
Over 20 years of experience in the energy industry (e.g., power, oil and gas, new energy)
Experience in large-scale energy projects or regional management
Experience in managing multinational corporations or large energy groups is preferred
Core Competencies
Strategic thinking and business acumen
Strong business sense Business development and negotiation skills
In-depth understanding of the energy industry (e.g., electricity market, carbon trading, new energy technologies)
Excellent leadership and organizational management skills
Familiarity with return on investment analysis (IRR, NPV, etc.)
Bonus points
Experience in wind power, solar power, energy storage, or hydrogen energy projects
Familiarity with local energy policies (e.g., US electricity market mechanisms)
Experience in mergers and acquisitions integration
