Job Details
We are looking for a sharp, self-directed Senior Accountant to join a high-performing finance team at the US arm of a global real estate institution. This is a hybrid accounting and FP&A role – you will own the books, support strategic financial planning, and interface directly with third-party property managers, external auditors, and senior leadership.

What you’ll do
- Own full-cycle accounting: journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and period-end close
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with supporting variance analyses
- Drive quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting in partnership with senior leadership
- Review and analyze financial reporting from third-party property managers; resolve discrepancies
- Advise and direct external property managers on accounting standards and best practices
- Support onboarding of newly acquired assets into accounting systems
- Perform lease analyses, net rent calculations, and property-level financial evaluations
- Support joint venture and construction audits alongside external auditors
- Maintain J-SOX internal control compliance and documentation
- Prepare documentation for corporate income and property tax filings, including TC-201
- Optimize and administer the Yardi accounting platform
- Stay current on US GAAP developments relevant to commercial real estate
What you bring
- BA/BS in Accounting – required
- Active CPA license or in process
- 4+ years of accounting experience with meaningful real estate exposure
- Public accounting firm audit background strongly preferred
- Experience with Yardi or a comparable platform (MRI, Angus) a plus
