ASTECH is a leading aerospace subcontractor engaged in the manufacture and assembly of precision-machined structural aircraft components and assemblies for tolerance critical applications. ASTECH’s customers include both commercial and defense customers’ worldwide.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under minimal supervision, performs support for the Quality Director and Quality Department.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepare for Quality audits by gathering visitor forms for quality auditors, reserve room and order meals as required.
2. Gather needed forms or data from other departments to support any Quality audits.
3. Supports other quality departmental personnel, as required.
4. Coordinate with other quality department personnel to understand and interpret quality training requirements within their particular scope of quality.
5. Input quality training requirements and completed quality training into the training system.
6. Work with the Human Resources Manager to ensure that quality training is aligned with the requirements of all company training to avoid discrepancies or redundancies within the training system.
7. Help with daily clerical and administrative quality support tasks such as creating charts, sending emails or creating other communications on behalf of the Quality Director.’
8. Maintain required quality business records and documentation per retention requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION
Requires a High School diploma or equivalent.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Requires 5+ quality or training system experience. Requires 4 years proficient operation of “PC” computer applications, such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point). Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and possess excellent communication skills. Requires excellent skills related to grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc. Needs to be able to operate any general office equipment.

QUALITY – Reinforces commitment to quality performance in all aspects of every task or project performed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
May require prolonged periods of sitting.
May require periodic lifting up to 20 pounds.
May require repetitive use of hands and good manual dexterity.
Pay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
