About the Role
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining quality assurance protocols to ensure the highest standards across all products and services within a strategic project with the Department of Veterans Affairs, affecting millions of veteran users. This role leads a team of QA professionals, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and drives continuous process improvements to enhance the overall customer experience. The position plays a critical role in maintaining quality and operational excellence in a high-impact government project.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance policies and procedures
- Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including planning, implementation, and monitoring
- Lead and mentor the QA team to ensure high performance and professional development
- Collaborate with product development, engineering, and operations teams to meet quality standards
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify improvement areas and ensure compliance
- Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and drive corrective actions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a relevant field (or 8 additional years of relevant experience)
- 10 years of experience in a similar Quality Assurance leadership role
- Experience creating and implementing detailed plans to ensure IT product, system, and service quality
- Proven ability to resolve project or program release issues, including triage, escalation, and corrective action
- Experience assuring the viability, functionality, and effectiveness of essential enterprise tools
Compensation
