Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Clerk 2 to join our team in Cocoa, FL. In this mid-level role (3–5 years of relevant experience), you will take on greater responsibility in procurement operations, including vendor management, purchase order processing, cost analysis, and inventory support. You will help ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and parts for our ozone system manufacturing and field service operations while upholding our commitment to quality, reliability, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and manage purchase orders for materials, components, and supplies used in ozone system production and service.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Monitor inventory levels, track orders, and resolve discrepancies or delays with vendors and internal teams.
• Perform cost analysis, maintain accurate purchasing records, and support budgeting efforts.
• Collaborate closely with production, service, engineering, and accounting teams to ensure timely receipt of goods and address supply chain issues.
• Utilize Microsoft 365 and other systems for data entry, reporting, and procurement tracking.
• Contribute to process improvements in procurement and inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to junior purchasing staff as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory control (manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (especially Excel) and experience with ERP/inventory systems – SAGE MAS90 a plus.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Solid communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team while showing initiative and ownership.
