Full-Stack Systems Engineer (Senior / Principal)

We are seeking a strong Full-Stack Systems Engineer to design and build high-performance software systems across the entire stack. This role targets engineers comfortable operating from distributed infrastructure and data pipelines down to application frameworks and model integration. The engineer will design, implement, and maintain production-grade systems supporting data-intensive workloads, AI/ML pipelines, and scalable backend services. The role requires strong engineering judgment, architectural rigor, and deep familiarity with modern infrastructure and security standards.
Responsibilities
– Design and implement high-reliability distributed systems spanning backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces.
– Build and maintain scalable backend platforms using modern frameworks such as Flask, Django, Node.js, Go, or Rust, ensuring strong observability and performance.
– Develop data-intensive pipelines and storage architectures including SQL systems, NoSQL databases, and Data Lake architectures.
– Design infrastructure that integrates machine learning systems, including PyTorch-based models, LLM pipelines, or AI-driven services*.
– Architect robust APIs and service layers that support large-scale production workloads.
– Optimize system performance across the stack, including compute efficiency, database performance, and network throughput.
– Implement strong engineering practices including secure coding, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and observability.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of professional software engineering experience building complex production systems.
Proficiency in at least 3 of the following languages:
* Python
* Rust
* Go
* Node.js / TypeScript
– Strong experience with backend frameworks including Flask or Django.
– Deep experience designing and operating *distributed systems and backend platforms*.
– Hands-on experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.) and NoSQL systems (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, Cassandra, etc.).
– Experience designing and maintaining *large-scale data architectures, including **data lakes and data pipelines*.
– Practical experience integrating *AI/ML systems, particularly **PyTorch pipelines, LLM infrastructure, or model-serving systems*.
– Strong familiarity with *modern software architecture principles*, including service decomposition, event-driven systems, and high-availability design.
Engineering and Security Standards
Experience implementing engineering processes aligned with NIST security frameworks, *SOC 2 controls, and industry best practices for secure software development.
Demonstrated experience with:
* Secure authentication and authorization systems
* Infrastructure security and secrets management
* Compliance-ready architecture for enterprise systems
– Experience building custom software platforms from scratch, not only maintaining existing systems.
– Background in high-scale production environments, infrastructure engineering, or deep systems programming.
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
