Program Manager – Engineering Operations & Retrofit Deployment Full Time NEW

Responsible for supporting large-scale engineering retrofit initiatives across multiple operational sites. This role focuses on coordinating vendor execution, managing project milestones, and ensuring successful deployment of retrofit solutions in live environments.

The position blends program management with technical coordination, requiring a candidate who can operate in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Success in this role depends on strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage on-site execution while partnering with multiple stakeholders.

Experience Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in project or program management
• Experience working in operational or engineering-focused environments
• Bachelor’s degree may be required

Team & Function Overview

• Part of an operations engineering team focused on retrofit initiatives and infrastructure improvements
• Supports deployment of retrofit projects across 12 sites
• Works closely with vendors and on-site stakeholders including engineering and operations teams
• Team operates in a high-volume, execution-driven environment with limited headcount
• Focused on completing large-scale projects within defined timelines

Core Responsibilities

• Support execution of retrofit initiatives across multiple sites
• Travel to assigned sites (home base aligned where possible) to oversee project execution
• Manage vendors on-site throughout deployment phases
• Track and ensure completion of project milestones, including quality and timelines
• Conduct daily oversight of work progress and repeat monitoring throughout project lifecycle
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., engineering, operations) to ensure alignment
• Review engineering documentation and validate implementation accuracy
• Manage temporary systems and ensure operational continuity during retrofits

Work Environment

• Monday–Friday, primarily standard business hours (9am–5pm)
• Flexibility required for evening work (6pm–9pm) based on operational windows
• Up to 8 hours of overtime per week may be required
• On-site presence required with frequent travel to project locations
• Fast-paced, execution-focused environment with shifting priorities

Must-Have Skills

• Strong program/project management experience with heavy coordination responsibilities
• Technical background with engineering experience
• Networking knowledge and testing experience
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple active workstreams in live operational environments

• Engineering background (electrical or mechanical)
