Production Inspector Full Time

C.H. Thompson is currently seeking a Production Inspector to join our team. As a Production Inspector you will play a crucial role in maintaining quality, safety, and productivity through a hands-on approach. Specifically, the role focuses on unmasking (removing protective materials) and performing touch-up paint work.

Position Overview

• 
  Unmasking: Carefully remove masking materials (such as tape, latex and plugs) from parts after painting.
• 
  Inspection: Inspect unmasked areas for any defects or imperfections.
• 
  Touch-Up Paint: Apply touch-up paint to correct minor defects (scratches, chips, etc.) in painted finishes. Ensure color matching and consistency.
• 
  Quality Assurance: Inspect parts thoroughly for adherence to quality standards. Document inspection results, including any rework or corrections needed.
• 
  Collaboration: Coordinate and communicate with the Supervisor to address any issues found during inspection.
• Safety and Compliance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety guidelines and protocols.

Qualifications:

• 
  Education:
  
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred.
• Experience:
  • Relevant experience in metal finishing, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Quality Control Experience: Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.
•

    Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and accuracy.

    Communication: Clear communication is essential for reporting findings and collaborating with production teams.

    Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.

    Technical Skills: Basic math and computer skills, ability to use specialized testing tools and machinery.

    Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and read technical documents and blueprints.

    Quality Standards: Ensure all products and parts meet stringent quality standards.

Shift Hours:

• Monday – Thursday 6:30am – 3:30pm, Friday 6:30am-12:30pm

Total Compensation Package:

• Wage
  • $17.50+ per hour
  • Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s experience.
