Production & Fulfillment Specialist Full Time

Job Summary

Big Island Coffee Roasters is seeking Production & Fulfillment Specialists to join our back-of-house team. You’ll be an integral part of daily operations, responsible for picking, packaging, shipping, and protecting the quality of fresh roasted coffees and merchandise alongside the roasting and production team.

This is an entry-level position in the operations department at our HQ. You’ll work alongside a team of exceptional roasters, baristas, and crew with one of the best coffee in the world while supporting local farms. Full-time and part-time positions available. Candidates must be reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and can maintain quality output in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a fast-paced team to fulfill wholesale / online orders accurately and efficiently
• Prep, organize, fill, and quality check packages to meet daily orders
• Accurately fill and assemble orders for shipping and delivery
• Learn to operate production equipment safely and efficiently (label printers, scales, grinders, bag sealers)
• Perform quality and accuracy checks at each stage of production / fulfillment to ensure quality standards are upheld throughout
• Maintain clear knowledge on all BICR products, packaging and equipment
• Maintain backstock inventory (green beans, boxes, envelopes, and supplies)
• Fully understand and execute all safety, quality, and sanitation policies and procedures
• Maintains cleanliness & organization of work and inventory areas
• Assists in receiving, and put away of all incoming orders as necessary
• Proactively foster your own professional development
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the production process

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to maintain pace and output in a high-volume environment
• Works well individually and with a team
• Can safely lift 50 lbs. unassisted
• Seeking steady, full-time employment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production role preferred

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
