Position Summary:

The Produce Clerk is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, fully stocked, and visually appealing produce department while delivering exceptional guest service. This role supports daily department operations including stocking, rotation, quality control, merchandising, and assisting guests with product knowledge and recommendations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, team-focused, and passionate about fresh food and hospitality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive guest service at all times.
• Maintain attractive produce displays in accordance with Laurel Supply standards.
• Stock, rotate, and replenish produce items throughout the shift while following FIFO practices.
• Inspect products for freshness, quality, and presentation standards.
• Remove damaged, spoiled, or outdated product from the sales floor promptly.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, organizing backstock, and inventory control.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the produce floor, prep areas, coolers, and storage spaces.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
• Support department setup, breakdown, and closing procedures.
• Assist guests with locating products and answering questions regarding produce items.
• Work collaboratively with team members and leadership to support daily operational needs.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude during all shifts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Previous grocery, produce, retail, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
• Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to frequently bend, lift, reach, and carry products.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in refrigerated and varying temperature environments.

Pay: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour
