Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Plastics Engineer located in Stuart, FL. The Plastics Engineer will be responsible for leading and supporting product development efforts, including research and development, material selection, and production optimization. Day-to-day tasks include designing and testing tooling for plastic component manufacturing, overseeing processes such as injection molding and extrusion, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and performance. The role also involves troubleshooting production issues and exploring innovative techniques to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Plastics Engineering, Polymers, and material properties
- Strong experience in Injection Molding and Extrusion
- Background in Research and Development (R&D) processes
- Proficiency in process improvement and product design
- Bachelor’s degree in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or related field
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of offshore fishing equipment design is a bonus
