Pharmacy Services Analyst Full Time NEW

Position Summary

The Pharmacy Services Analyst supports the delivery of pharmacy consulting and operational services for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and other safety‑net providers. Reporting to the Pharmacy Services Manager, this role supports healthcare organizations in developing, launching, and optimizing entity‑owned pharmacy services through execution‑focused data analysis, reporting, documentation, and implementation support. The analyst works closely with internal pharmacy services leadership and client stakeholders to support compliant, efficient, and sustainable pharmacy operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Pharmacy Services & Operations Support

• Support pharmacy services engagements related to entity‑owned pharmacy planning, implementation, and optimization, including operational readiness and workflow support.
• Support planning, setup, and launch of entity‑owned pharmacies.
• Coordinate onboarding activities and workflow readiness in collaboration with internal teams and client stakeholders.
• Assist with gathering, reviewing, and organizing pharmacy operational data, including prescription volumes and dispensing workflows.
• Identify operational gaps or inefficiencies and escalate findings to Pharmacy Services leadership with supporting analysis.

Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring

• Prepare recurring reports related to prescription capture, reimbursement, and overall pharmacy performance.
• Analyze claims and dispensing data, using established tools and reporting frameworks.
• Track payer mix, prescription volume trends, and baseline profitability metrics.
• Assist with tracking pharmacy performance metrics and operational indicators.
• Support the development and maintenance of dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools used by Pharmacy Services leadership.
• Help identify trends and opportunities to improve pharmacy financial and operational performance.

Documentation, Compliance & Program Support

• Review pharmacy‑related policies and procedures for completeness, consistency, and alignment with operational requirements.
• Monitor for basic compliance risks related to diversion and duplicate discounts and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Maintain organized internal and client‑facing documentation, reports, and shared workspaces.
• Assist with preparing client deliverables, summaries, and supporting documentation related to pharmacy operations and implementation activities.

Client & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Participate in client meetings, workgroups, and internal coordination calls to support pharmacy services delivery.
• Serve as a supporting point of contact for pharmacy directors, operations staff, and internal team members during pharmacy services engagements.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and deliverables.

Process Improvement & Team Support

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by documenting recurring client issues, operational challenges, and emerging pharmacy service needs.
• Assist Pharmacy Services leadership with process refinement and standardization of tools, templates, and workflows.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Experience working in healthcare operations, pharmacy services, consulting, or an analytical support role.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must complete Apexus 340B University within 90 days of hire.

Technical Requirements

• Microsoft Excel (intermediate proficiency: pivot tables, lookups, data validation).
• Ability to prepare and maintain standard reports and dashboards.
• Experience working with claims extracts, CSV files, and structured datasets.
• Familiarity with task trackers, implementation tools, and workflow documentation.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, reporting tools, and collaborative documentation platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting entity‑owned or contract pharmacy operations.
• Familiarity with 340B pharmacy program operations at an operational or analytical support level.
• Experience preparing or reviewing healthcare policies, procedures, or operational documentation.
• Exposure to Power BI or Tableau (dashboard viewing and basic interpretation).

Reporting Relationship & Scope

This position reports directly to the Pharmacy Services Manager and supports multiple concurrent pharmacy services engagements. The role emphasizes execution‑focused analysis, documentation, and operational coordination rather than independent service leadership, while contributing to the scalability and consistency of pharmacy services offerings.
