Permit Specialist Full Time NEW

Suncoast Power Solutions installs whole home backup generators across the Tampa Bay area. We are looking for a Permit Specialist to manage the permitting process from contract to approval. You will work directly with homeowners, sales staff, and install managers to ensure every project moves through the AHJ process without delays.

This role supports installation timelines by keeping permits organized, submitted, and approved as efficiently as possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Send customer documents for signature using Adobe Sign
• Record required documents with local AHJs
• Prepare complete permit submittal packages (including site plans, electrical drawings & gas drawings)
• Submit permit applications through AHJ portals
• Track permit status through approval
• Coordinate with homeowners on HOA approvals
• Work with Sales and Install teams to gather required documents
• Communicate with customers regarding permit status
• Respond to AHJ comments and revision requests
• Maintain accurate records in internal systems

Requirements

• Experience in permitting or a related field preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with Simplifile and Adobe Sign required
• AutoCAD experience preferred
• Ability to navigate AHJ online portals
• Strong attention to detail
• Organized and able to manage multiple projects at once
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
