2. About the Opportunity:
The Payroll Administrator 1 supports accurate and timely payroll processing on a weekly and bi-weekly basis, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This entry-level role maintains employee pay records, serves as a point of contact for payroll inquiries and audits, and collaborates with cross-functional departments to verify timesheets and payroll accuracy. The position is essential to maintaining payroll integrity and compliance within the organization.
3. Responsibilities:
• Verify timesheets and calculate gross to net pay
• Maintain and update payroll records including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and benefit deductions
• Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, including overtime and minimum wage
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and timekeeping
• Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain confidentiality of employee records and payroll information
• Ensure compliance with multiple Union contracts and agricultural wage order contracts
• Ensure garnishment compliance
• Maintain check registers and positive pay files accurately
4. Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Preferably 1+ years’ experience in payroll, accounting, or related field including multistate and multi-pay group payrolls
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); knowledge of Dayforce HCM preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Capability to analyze payroll data and resolve complex issues
• Strong organizational, critical thinking, customer service, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a team collaboration environment

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Hourly pay range: $22.26 to $33.41 per hour
• Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, education, and other relevant factors
