1. About Our Client:
The organization is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center providing comprehensive primary, preventative, and behavioral health services to diverse communities across several counties. 2. About the Opportunity:
The Patient Care Advisor serves as the primary contact for current and potential patients, coordinating appointment scheduling across medical, mental health, and COVID-related services. This role ensures efficient patient access to care through effective communication and management of incoming calls, playing a key part in facilitating patient-centered service delivery.
3. Responsibilities:
• Answer all incoming external and internal calls.
• Schedule appointments for all clinic sites using the electronic health record system.
• Update patient demographic information as needed.
• Conduct outreach calls to patients who missed appointments and other outbound communications.
• Provide clerical support including message taking and word processing.
• Support peer training for new call center staff on appointment scheduling and services.
• Conduct calls following quality and procedural standards; assist in continuous quality improvement activities.
• Respond constructively to feedback and coaching.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and demonstrate reliability.
• Provide coverage for other departments as directed.
• Perform additional duties as required.
4. Requirements:
• Minimum two years of experience in a service-related role; call center or healthcare customer service experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including clarity in phone interactions.
• Proficiency with computer systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and scheduling software; ability to meet keyboarding standards.
• Organizational skills with ability to manage tasks and anticipate team needs based on volume trends.
• Ability to build and maintain positive customer and employee relationships.
• Demonstrated leadership and team motivation skills.
• Bilingual communication skills preferred.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Salary range: $20.00 to $23.13 per hour.
