Coordinates front line activity and supports management of the Patient Access Department in alignment with the overall mission of the Shared Revenue Cycle Organization (SRCO) and Advocate Health Care. Monitor and mentors frontline patient access associates regarding standards, systems, policies, procedures, and operational performance. Performs patient access functions including scheduling, registration interviews, data entry, quality assurance, and insurance verification/pre-certification. The specific responsibilities for the Coordinator – Patient Access includes the following functional areas: pre-registration, insurance verification, pre-certification, and medical necessity screening, registration (IP/OP/ED).
