Job Description
The PACS Specialist is responsible for the implementation, integration, and configuration enterprise medical imaging systems in support of the UC Berkley project, with a primary focus on Visage PACS, PDI Workflow Orchestrator, ACUO DICOM Router, and Nuance Powerscribe One. The PACS Specialist works closely with Enterprise Imaging IT (UCDH & UCB), radiology staff, vendors, and clinical leadership to ensure that the systems meet performance, compliance, and usability standards.

Skills and Requirements
3-5 years of experience in PACS administration, medical imaging informatics, or clinical IT
Hands-on experience with Visage PACS, PDI Workflow Orchestrator, ACUO DICOM Router, and/or Powerscribe One
Strong working knowledge of DICOM and HL7 standards and troubleshooting
Ability to read and interpret DICOM conformance statements and HL7 message structures
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations, especially HIPAA. – CIIP (Certified Imaging Informatics Professional) certification
Experience with enterprise RIS/HIS platforms (Epic preferred)
Knowledge of PACS storage architectures including VNA and cloud-based archiving
