Overhaul and Repair Quality Engineer

This position supports quality operations within an established aerospace manufacturing facility specializing in overhaul and repair (O/R) work. The Quality Engineer serves as the primary quality liaison across internal teams, customers, and suppliers, with responsibility for regulatory compliance, corrective action management, and continuous improvement. The facility operates under FAA, EASA, AS9100, and NADCAP quality frameworks.

Schedule Monday through Friday, standard business hours. Work is performed in both office and production floor environments.

Compensation Compensation is based on experience. A specific range will be provided during the interview process.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will serve as the primary quality point of contact for customers and suppliers, managing relationships and ensuring that all incoming and outgoing work meets applicable regulatory and contractual requirements. You will maintain and manage quality records, manuals, and regulatory documentation in accordance with FAA, EASA, AS9100, NADCAP, and ISO standards, and will review and approve purchase orders and contracts from a quality standpoint.

You will lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes to resolve non-conformances, driving root cause analysis and closure in a timely manner. Supplier evaluation and audit responsibilities are a core component of this role, and you will conduct internal audits as well as support external regulatory compliance activities. You will also support inspection activities on the shop floor, assist with teardown documentation and quality records, and collaborate cross-functionally to identify and implement process improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience with measurement systems and inspection techniques
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and methods used in aerospace or precision manufacturing
• Applied experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Demonstrated experience working within AS9100, ISO, and NADCAP quality management systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in both office and production floor environments, including occasional lifting up to 20 lbs
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug and alcohol screening

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an aerospace overhaul and repair (O/R) environment
• Familiarity with FAA and EASA regulations, including Airworthiness Directives
• Background in supplier quality management and audit processes
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent quality certification
• Experience with nondestructive testing (NDT) oversight or NADCAP audit preparation
