Location: Euclid, OH (Cleveland area) – On-site
Company: General Sleep Corporation
About Us
We are a medical device company based in Euclid, OH. We design, manufacture, and sell FDA-cleared Class II home sleep testing devices, serving hospitals, sleep labs, and patients directly. Our ship-to-patient service sends sleep test kits directly to patients, who use them at home and return them for data upload and turn-around. We’re looking for an Operations & Supply Chain Manager to own the day-to-day operations that keep our business running.
About the Role
You’ll be the person who makes sure product gets built, shipped, received, and repaired, reliably and on time, every time. You’ll manage our relationships with contract manufacturers and suppliers, oversee our warehouse and logistics team, handle support escalations, and make sure we never run out of product to sell. You’ll work closely with our Quality & Regulatory Affairs Manager to ensure that all operations follow our quality management system procedures, and with our engineering team on systems and tooling improvements.
This is a hands-on role. Some days you’ll be negotiating with a supplier, other days you’ll be helping troubleshoot a shipping issue or training a team member on a new procedure. If you like variety and ownership, you’ll enjoy this. If you prefer managing from behind a desk, it’s probably not the right fit.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Managing relationships with contract manufacturers and component suppliers, including purchasing, lead times, quality expectations, and cost negotiations. Ensuring we maintain adequate inventory levels so we don’t run out of product to sell or kits to ship. Overseeing our warehouse and logistics team, which handles kit assembly, device testing, labeling, shipping, receiving, cleaning, and repairs. Managing our ship-to-patient sleep kit service, including handling special cases and exceptions that the warehouse team escalates. Making sure all operational processes follow documented QMS procedures, and that staff are trained and compliant. Serving as the escalation point for customer support when first-tier support needs help (our engineering team handles deep technical issues, so you don’t need to be an engineer). Leading the evaluation and implementation of a new ERP / inventory management system, working with engineering to get it in place. Coordinating with the Quality & Regulatory Affairs Manager on process documentation, training records, and audit readiness. Identifying operational inefficiencies and improving them.
What We’re Looking For
3–7+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or a similar role. Experience working at a growing company where you’ve had to wear multiple hats is a strong plus. Experience in a regulated industry is preferred (medical device, pharma, aerospace, defense, food manufacturing, or similar). You don’t need to be a regulatory expert, but you should be comfortable working in an environment where processes need to be documented and followed consistently. Experience managing supplier or vendor relationships, including purchasing and negotiating. Some experience with ERP or inventory management systems. You don’t need to have led an implementation before, but you should have opinions about what makes these systems work well. Comfort managing a team and holding people accountable to procedures and standards. Strong organizational skills in which you’ll be juggling a lot of moving parts. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required if you have strong relevant experience.
What You Should Know About Working Here
This role touches almost everything outside of engineering and sales. That means real influence over how we operate, and you’ll see the results of your work directly. You’ll have support from our warehouse manager and the quality/regulatory manager, but you’re the one making sure everything runs.
We’re in the process of modernizing our quality system and selecting new software tools (eQMS, ERP), so you’ll be joining at a time when you can shape how things are built rather than inheriting rigid processes.
