The Georgia Association for the Education of Young Children (GAEYC) is a professional organization dedicated to supporting the education and healthy development of Georgia’s young children, from birth to age eight. As the Georgia affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the Southern Early Childhood Association, GAEYC has been committed to this mission since its founding in 1966. GAEYC’s vision includes ensuring young children have the learning opportunities necessary for their development, supported by well-educated and recognized early childhood educators. The organization works to raise awareness about the importance of early education and enhance the quality of early childhood programs through professional development and resources for educators.
Role Description
The Operations and Communications Manager will oversee day-to-day organizational functions, facilitate communications, and support programmatic initiatives. Responsibilities include coordinating internal operations, managing membership processes, supporting event planning, and maintaining organizational records. The Manager will also oversee social media and website content and design, craft newsletters, and develop communication materials to increase stakeholder engagement. This is a part-time, remote role requiring occasional travel for meetings and events.
