Job Summary

• It is the job of all Pioneer Bible Translators employees to communicate the mission, vision, and core values of Pioneer Bible Translators, especially to prospective donors, prayer partners, and others who might be interested in our ministry.
• As a Mid-Level Donor Representative at Pioneer Bible Translators (PBT), you will play a crucial role in advancing the ministry’s mission through strategic fundraising efforts. This position reports directly to the Director of Development and is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with mid-level donors, implementing fundraising strategies, and contributing to the overall development and growth of the ministry.

Responsibilities

• Devotion to prayer for the mission of Pioneer Bible Translators and their part in fulfilling that mission.
• Communicating through any available and appropriate platform the mission, vision, and core values of Pioneer Bible Translators and the specific needs of their division and department.

1. Donor Cultivation:

a. Identify, cultivate, and steward mid-level donors to deepen their engagement with the ministry and encourage growth toward major donor giving levels where appropriate.

b. Develop and maintain strong relationships with individuals and organizations who contribute at mid-major levels.

2. Fundraising Strategy:

a. Collaborate with the development team and report to the Development Director to create and implement effective fundraising strategies, specifically targeting mid-level donors.

b. Utilize data and analytics to identify trends, preferences, and opportunities for fundraising growth within the mid-level donor segment.

3. Communication:

a. Communicate the mission, impact, and financial needs of the ministry to donors through various channels, including written communications, phone calls, and virtual meetings.

b. Collaborate with the communications (CAM) team to ensure a consistent and compelling message across all platforms.

4. Event Participation:

a. Attend and represent the ministry at relevant events, conferences, and meetings to network with potential donors and deepen existing relationships.

b. Work in partnership with Advancement team members to plan, prepare and execute annual Vision Dinner and/or other fundraising events.

5. Database Management:

a. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of donor interactions in the ministry’s donor database (Virtuous).

b. Provide regular reports on donor engagement, contributions, and trends to the Development Director and development team.

6. Collaboration:

a. Collaborate with other development team members, as well as Church Partnership, to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to fundraising efforts.

b. Participate in regular team meetings and provide updates on progress to the Development Director.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of the Bible and the faith traditions of Pioneer Bible Translators.
• The ability to know and communicate the fundamental truths of Scripture.

Knowledge Of:

• Pioneer Bible Translators practices and principles.
• Database management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• The Elements of communication and the components of interpersonal interactions.

Ability to:

• Exhibit Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Articulate the mission and values of Pioneer Bible Translators.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Travel domestically and internationally, as needed.
• Possess or to obtain a valid state driver’s license.
• Possess or to obtain a valid USA passport.

Experience:

• Success in fundraising, donor relations, or sales.
• Communicating well by using text, email and other non-verbal methods.
• Event planning preferred.
• Grant researching and writing preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Since one of the primary strategies of Pioneer Bible Translators is to disciple others, it is important that every missionary, employee, and regular volunteer, regardless of position or duties, live in a way that glorifies God in order to exemplify the impact of the Bible on each of us, “for we aim at what is honorable not only in the Lord’s sight but also in the sight of man.” (2 Corinthians 8:21, ESV).
• Every U.S.-based employee is required to be a practicing Christian and evidence that in their daily life, both at home and at work. Pioneer Bible Translators expects these employees to participate in and be willing to lead public prayer, Christian devotions, and other related activities. These employees are expected to attend regularly scheduled events and events that occur with short-notice. They are also expected to be able to communicate the mission, vision, and core values of Pioneer Bible Translators to those outside of Pioneer Bible Translators with whom they have interactions.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
