Role Description

The Memory Care Executive Director is a full-time, on-site position located in Williamsville, NY. The Executive Director will oversee all aspects of daily operations in the memory care community, ensuring a high standard of care for residents. Responsibilities include managing staff, developing and implementing programs tailored to residents’ needs, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a welcoming and nurturing environment for both residents and their families. This role requires close collaboration with team members and leadership to uphold Elderwood’s commitment to person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Leadership and Operational Management: Experience leading teams, managing budgets, and overseeing day-to-day operations in memory care, senior living, or a healthcare setting.
• Compliance and Expertise: Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to senior living and memory care, with expertise in implementing best practices in dementia care.
• Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong ability to build relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partners, combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team Building and Staff Development: Experience in training, mentoring, and managing staff to maintain a cohesive, compassionate, and high-performing team.
• Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Proven ability to address challenges effectively and make informed decisions to enhance operational and resident outcomes.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in healthcare administration, social work, or a related field, and relevant certifications in memory care or dementia care.
