Responsibilities and requirements for MDS Nurse Coordinator:
- Valid RN License in the state of MA
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a long-term care setting, preferred.
- Clinical experience, education or specialty skills specific to geriatrics is desired.
- Strong knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long term care.
- Great interpersonal skills for effective daily interaction with Residents, family members and all members of the Interdisciplinary Team
- Must have knowledge in PPS assessment as well as OBRA compliance.
- Must be a self-starter and a high attention to accuracy and details and possess good time management skills
- Ability to make independent decisions and follow through with limited supervision.
- Must have at least 1 year of MDS/MMQ coordinator experience.
