Automotive Artist / Master Technician
$38–$65 Flat Rate — where the big talk is the ground reality
We’re reposting because we still haven’t found our master. We’re not looking for just another mechanic — we’re looking for a Master Technician. If you’re a nuanced, open-minded professional with the skills to match, we won’t hesitate to pay exactly what we claim.
We operate on a model that research shows fewer than 3% of independent shops follow. It’s not theory — we prove it every day in a structured, well-led environment. The other 97% should consider it if they like money and dislike going home exhausted. We in the 3% can prove it doesn’t just work in principle — it works plainly and repeatedly in real shops with organized processes and next-level leadership.
The result? Our shop generates 1.5x–2x the revenue per flag hour compared to the industry standard — our current overall average is 1.78x and growing. That translates to more money for you, less wasted effort, and a customer base that genuinely values your expertise.
The Reality Check
This model is highly successful, but it isn’t for everyone. Hard statistics and our own experience show that:
– Fewer than 10% of candidates immediately “get” and love our non-standard systems.
– Another 20–30% come around once they let the system prove itself.
– That 30–40% combined are the nuanced, open-minded operators our approach works best with — and who we’re writing this for.
We want calm, confident, and even a little bored. When you’re prepared and unhurried, you make the most money.
What We Offer
$38–$65 flat rate based on skill and capability, including — but not limited to — years of experience.
Guaranteed weekly minimum for the right candidate who meets our reasonable requirements — a realistic floor that takes the “slow week” anxiety off the table.

PTO & holidays, year one:
– 5 days vacation (up to 10 in year 2)
– 12 hours discretionary PTO
– 3 paid shop-closed holidays
– 3 shop-open holidays at 1.5x pay

What You’ll Do
– Diagnose and repair domestic, European, and light truck vehicles — including diesel.
– Document findings with total clarity so advisors can get your work approved. Our advisors’ current approval rate is well above the industry average — and your documentation is part of why.
– “Standards First” isn’t a sales line here — it’s our operating reality, and we can demonstrate it to both customers and employees through the pace, consistency, and satisfaction it produces.
