Manufacturing Process Technician Full Time

Responsibilities

• Work with the production team to plan and implement accurate machining processes and programs for CNC machines.
• Create and maintain program and process documentation required for the successful completion of precision machined parts.
• Analyzes drawings to select the cutting tools, tool arrangement, cutting speeds, and feeds for CNC machining of parts.
• Identifies, procures, and tracks tools, and records documentation for the successful completion of CNC programs.
• Prepares detailed shop setup sheets, tool lists, and supervises the process validation portion of new program prove out.
• Assists in the design of tools, fixtures, and special equipment to reduce set-up, operational cycle times, increase quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Modifies CNC programs as required by Engineering Change Notices and/or production requirements.
• Provides programming support and troubleshooting to production and engineering.
• Monitors tooling costs on an ongoing basis and supports cost savings initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with the process engineers, quality personnel, production personnel, customers, and vendors.
• Updates and maintains the programming database and supporting documentation for CNC operations.
• Participates in Continuous Improvement activities.
• Performs all work in a safety conscious manner. Be aware of dangers and take all appropriate counter measures to protect yourself and others around you.
• Determines methods for manufacture for design of new products. Recommends design modifications to permit manufacture by the most favorable method.
• Actively works toward establishing and maintaining standardized procedures.
• Assists in directing production planning and providing technical support to the production team.
• Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
• Operates CNC machines as needed to support production needs.
• Maintains professionalism consistent with company’s policies.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area consistent with the Company’s housekeeping policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of lean manufacturing techniques.
• Valid forklift certification and experience operating warehouse machinery.
• Knowledge of CGMP standards applicable to regulated manufacturing settings.
• Experience with machining operations is highly desirable.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions precisely while maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
