Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer Full Time NEW

We are seeking a Manufacturing / Industrial Engineer with strong expertise in Weld Tooling Design and Validation to support production, tooling development, and process optimization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in weld tooling, fixture design, and manufacturing process improvement within heavy equipment, automotive, or similar industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop weld tooling, fixtures, and templates for manufacturing processes
• Perform tooling validation and quality checks using FARO Arm or similar metrology tools
• Create and optimize manufacturing process flows to improve efficiency and reduce cost
• Support assembly process planning and tooling implementation
• Develop and maintain work instructions, SOPs, CN, and DOU documentation
• Design material handling equipment, including racks, carts, and special-purpose tools
• Conduct time studies, cycle time analysis, and workflow optimization
• Implement Lean Manufacturing practices (5S, Kaizen, continuous improvement)
• Perform layout planning, production planning, and material flow optimization
• Validate racks, carts, and tooling systems based on load capacity and safety standards
• Develop quality checking gauges and inspection methods
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customers on project execution
• Support daily production activities and continuous improvement initiatives
  

Required Skills (MUST HAVE)

• Strong experience in Weld Tooling Design and Validation
• Hands-on experience with weld tooling/templates and their components
• Experience with tooling validation using FARO Arm or similar tools
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools: SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial engineering principles
• Experience in fixture design, tooling development, and assembly tooling
• Hands-on experience with time studies and work instructions development
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience in material handling equipment design (racks, carts, fixtures)
• Knowledge of production planning & control systems
• Exposure to vendor coordination and customer interaction
• Familiarity with quality tools (FMEA, SPC, root cause analysis)
• Experience in heavy equipment, automotive, or fabrication industries
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or related field
• 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing/tooling environments
