Lead clinical transformation efforts that improve care for underserved populations nationwide
HealthEfficient is a mission-driven organization working with community health centers and other safety-net providers across the United States to improve clinical and operational performance through data, technology, and practice transformation.
We operate where healthcare is most complex, supporting organizations that serve underserved populations while navigating real-world constraints around staffing, funding, and infrastructure. Our work focuses on helping leaders improve how people, processes, and technology function together to deliver better care and stronger performance.
We are seeking a Managing Director of Clinical Programs to serve as a senior leader responsible for designing, guiding, and advancing clinical improvement initiatives across our national portfolio.
This is a high-impact, externally facing role that combines executive-level advisory work with direct responsibility for ensuring programs are well-designed, measurable, and effective in practice.
Why This Role Matters
HealthEfficient’s work sits at the intersection of clinical care, operations, data, and policy. Many organizations can describe what should happen to improve care. Far fewer can design and implement programs that actually produce measurable results in real-world settings.
This role exists to close that gap.
You will help shape how clinical programs are:
You will work directly with health center executives, clinical leaders, funders, and partners to ensure that improvement efforts are not only strategically sound, but operationally realistic and capable of delivering meaningful outcomes.
This is an opportunity to influence clinical performance at scale, across multiple states, organizations, and initiatives.
What You’ll Do
This role is not limited to advising on what others should do. You will play a direct role in ensuring that programs are structured and managed in ways that increase the likelihood of successful execution.
Who You Are
You are a senior clinical or healthcare leader who is comfortable operating at both the strategic and operational level.
You are equally comfortable:
You understand that improving care requires more than ideas: it requires clarity, structure, discipline, and follow-through.
You are motivated by meaningful work and are comfortable operating in complex, resource-constrained environments where practical solutions matter.
This role is best suited for individuals who are comfortable being accountable for both strategy and execution. It is not a purely advisory or observational role.
