Our technicians work directly at client facilities performing equipment repair, automation troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and technical support on conveyor and industrial systems.
Position Overview
Enduro is seeking a highly capable Maintenance Technician / Field Service Technician based in the Bismark North Dakota region to support client sites throughout the area. Ideal candidates will live within reasonable driving distance of the greater Bismark region or surrounding areas and be comfortable traveling regularly to customer facilities across the North-Central Region near Bismark.
This role is best suited for a technician with strong electromechanical troubleshooting ability who enjoys solving problems in the field, working independently, and supporting a variety of industrial environments.
This role may also serve as a lead technician during larger maintenance, shutdown, installation, or repair projects involving additional Enduro technicians or subcontract support.

What You’ll Do
Equipment Troubleshooting & Repair Support
– Diagnose and repair conveyor systems, automation equipment, and industrial machinery
– Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
– Support emergency breakdown response and corrective maintenance activities
– Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities
– Read and interpret schematics, electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals
Automation & Electrical Support
– Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, motors, and control circuits
– Identify and correct electrical faults, shorts, wiring issues, and component failures
– Assist with installation and commissioning activities when required
Mechanical Maintenance Support
– Repair and replace bearings, chains, belts, rollers, gearboxes, pneumatic components, and
hydraulic systems
– Perform alignments, adjustments, and equipment setup work
– Support equipment reliability and uptime improvement initiatives
Field Service & Client Support
– Travel to client facilities throughout the Northeast region.
– Company-provided tools, specialty tools, equipment, service truck and travel support.
– Represent Enduro professionally in customer-facing environments
– Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate findings clearly
– Work independently while coordinating remotely with Enduro leadership and customers
– Occasional off-shift, weekend, or extended-hour support may be required based on customer operational needs.
– Candidates must be comfortable independently diagnosing issues, developing corrective action plans, and communicating directly with customers on-site.
Project & Team Leadership Support
– Lead and coordinate small technician teams during larger repair, installation, shutdown, or maintenance projects
– Assist with job planning, field execution, and communication with customers and Enduro
leadership
– Help maintain safe, efficient, and professional jobsite operations
– Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians when required
Safety & Compliance
– Follow OSHA, NFPA, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and client safety procedures
– Participate in ongoing technical and safety training
Qualifications
Required Experience
– 3-5+ years of industrial maintenance and/or field service equipment troubleshooting
experience
– Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical and electrical systems
– Experience working with conveyors, automation systems, or industrial production equipment
– Ability to work independently in fast-paced industrial environments
– Prior experience leading technicians, coordinating field work, or serving in a lead technician role is highly preferred.
– Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, must be capable of safely operating company vehicles and traveling regularly throughout the Northeast region.
Preferred Experience
– Strong machine troubleshooting experience
– Experience with VFDs, motors, sensors, and control systems
– Distribution center, manufacturing, or automated facility experience
– I/O and machine controls experience
– Experience supporting Amazon, FedEx, UPS, or similar automated facilities
Education / Certifications
– High school diploma or GED required
– Military, Technical school, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or equivalent hands-on
experience preferred
– OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
– Forklift or aerial lift certifications are a plus Travel Expectations
– This position involves regular regional travel throughout the Northeast United States
– Most work is completed within driving distance
– Overnight travel may be required depending on project location and customer needs
– Company-paid travel expenses and applicable per diem provided where applicable
Compensation & Employment Structure
– Hourly, full-time position

Physical Requirements
– Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
– Ability to stand, kneel, climb, and work in industrial environments for extended periods
– Comfortable working at heights, from ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms
– Ability to work in varying industrial conditions including heat, dust, and noise
