Maintenance Technician – Apartments / Housing
Location: Fairbanks / Eielson Air Force Base, AK
Pay: $28-$36/hour DOE
Schedule: Full-Time | Multiple shift options available(On-call rotation required)
TDL Staffing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support a well-established residential housing community located at Eielson Air Force Base. This position offers competitive pay, a consistent full-time schedule, and the opportunity to work across a wide range of residential and community maintenance projects.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality repairs, and values steady, reliable employment. Youll be responsible for maintaining both residential units and shared community spaces, helping ensure a safe, functional, and well-kept environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and complete residential maintenance repairs
Perform work in areas such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical
Maintain community amenities including playgrounds, outdoor spaces, and shared facilities
Respond to work orders and document completed tasks using basic systems
Provide professional and respectful service when interacting with residents and team members
Participate in an on-call rotation as needed
Minimum Requirements
3+ years of residential or multi-family maintenance experience
Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, and heating systems
Proficiency with standard maintenance tools and equipment
Basic computer or mobile device skills for work orders and communication
High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
Ability to pass state and federal background checks (required for base access)
Must support a drug-free work environment
