Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused professional to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator and Customer Service Representative. In this dual-role position, you will manage booking freight operations of outgoing orders while delivering customer service assistance to the sales team and our customer network. You will serve as the key point of contact for brokers and customers regarding order status, shipments, and issue resolution, while ensuring efficient coordination of transportation, booking freight, order entry and invoicing customer orders.

Key Responsibilities
Logistics Coordination
– Coordinate domestic shipments, including working with a third-party warehouse to scheduling pickups, carrier selection, and route optimization.
– Communicate with trucking companies regarding delays or issues to internal teams and customers.
-Send ASNs to confirm shipment of orders.
– Manage inventory levels (checking stock before booking a truck), prepare shipping documentation (bills of lading, commercial invoices, etc.).
– Work closely with customers, freight carriers, and warehouse teams to resolve logistical challenges and optimize costs.
– Analyze logistics data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and support continuous process enhancement and freight costs.
Customer Service
– Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding order status, delivery updates, returns, and general inquiries via phone, email, and chat.
– Handle and resolve customer complaints or issues related to shipments, damages, or delays with professionalism and urgency.
– Provide accurate and timely information on product availability, pricing, and shipping options.
– Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and follow-up.
– Process orders, invoicing purchase orders, returns, and credits in the company’s ERP/CRM system.
General Duties
– Maintain order entry, communication with freight brokers/companies, customer and sales team assistance and generate reports for management/sales team.
– Collaborate with sales, accounting, and operations teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
– Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency and customer experience.
– Work with accounting, carrier, and 3rd party warehouse on any deductions received due to shipping/carrier error.
Qualifications & Requirements
– 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or customer service (preferably in a combined role).
– High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
– Proven experience with computers, Microsoft office, and email.
– Strong knowledge of shipping rules/regulations as well as inventory management.
Skills & Competencies
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
– Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; capable of managing multiple shipments and customer requests simultaneously.
– Problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
– High attention to detail and accuracy.
– Team player with a positive attitude and adaptability to changing priorities.
