Accountabilities
In this role, you will be responsible for generating new sales opportunities and expanding the adoption of residential lighting control solutions across contractors, distributors, and builder accounts. You will actively prospect and engage electrical contractors, conduct sales visits, and log all activities in CRM systems to ensure accurate pipeline management. A key part of your role will involve delivering technical training sessions on smart lighting and control systems, helping customers understand installation and product value. You will also collaborate with regional sales teams and independent representatives to identify opportunities and support account conversions. In addition, you will assist with distributor engagement, inventory alignment, and product promotion across your assigned territory. Travel across the Western U.S. will be required to support field activity and customer engagement.
Requirements
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in outside sales within the U.S. residential electrical market, with a proven ability to build relationships and drive product adoption. You have a solid understanding of lighting controls, smart home technologies, and residential electrical systems, including awareness of applicable codes and standards. A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred. You are a confident communicator with strong presentation skills, capable of engaging both small and large groups. You are highly self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role. Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools is expected, along with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
