Light-Duty Salvage Mechanic Full Time NEW

What you’ll do

• Diagnose and repair light-duty impound vehicles.
• Process abandoned units; prep cars for auction/sale.
• Perform safety checks, fluids, batteries/charging, brakes/tires, quick-turn fixes.
• Decide repair vs. not-economical; document with notes/photos.
• Assist shop with light repairs on fleet/customer vehicles.
• Use PPE; handle oils/coolant/batteries per OSHA/EPA/WI DNR.

Schedule, pay, perks

• 40 hours a week. OT only with prior approval.
• Competitive hourly pay; uniforms/PPE provided.

What you need

• 3+ years light-duty auto repair.
• OBD-II diagnostics; brakes, suspension, cooling, starting/charging, minor engine and trim.
• Valid driver’s license; able to drive manual/auto.
• Basic photo/app/work-order skills.

Physical

• On your feet, bend/kneel; lift 50 lbs routinely (75 lbs with help); indoor/outdoor.
