Description
We are looking for an experienced legal operations and paralegal specialist to support litigation matters and strengthen day-to-day legal processes for an organization. This Long-term Contract position offers the opportunity to manage case support, improve operational workflows, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners. This role is ideal for someone who can balance detailed litigation coordination with process improvement and reporting responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Support attorneys throughout the lifecycle of litigation matters, from early case development through resolution and follow-up activities.
Gather and organize records, facts, and supporting materials to help inform legal strategy and case preparation.
Prepare, review, and manage legal documents such as demand responses, position statements, discovery materials, and settlement-related paperwork.
Oversee document production activities, maintain electronic case files, and coordinate eDiscovery tasks with accuracy and consistency.
Monitor litigation calendars, track key deadlines, and help ensure timely completion of required actions.
Serve as a point of coordination among internal business partners, outside counsel, experts, and legal service providers.
Develop and refine legal workflows, playbooks, and standard procedures to improve consistency and efficiency across litigation support.
Manage matter intake, reporting, outside counsel invoicing, and budget tracking while helping analyze spend, case trends, and operational performance.
Partner with compliance, risk, finance, and business teams on litigation-related matters, including audits, regulatory requests, investigations, accruals, and forecasting.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Experience supporting civil litigation matters with strong knowledge of case coordination, docket tracking, and legal documentation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, along with experience using a legal matter management and billing platform.
Ability to create and interpret reports that highlight meaningful legal and operational metrics.
Strong organizational, communication, and technical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Confidence working with stakeholders at all levels, including leadership, cross-functional teams, external counsel, and vendors.
High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential information.
Careful attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvements
