Duties: The State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz invites applications for a Lecturer/Program Coordinator position in the department of Educational Studies and Leadership.
Program Overview
The Certificate of Advanced Study in School Leadership (CAS401A) prepares experienced educators for advanced leadership roles in New York State public schools, including School Building Leader (SBL) and School District Leader (SDL) certification. The program operates in close partnership with school districts, third-party organizations, and state agencies to ensure alignment with evolving leadership standards, certification requirements, and district needs.
The Program Coordinator provides academic, administrative, personnel, assessment, and partnership leadership for a complex, multi-modal graduate program serving experienced educators and administrators.
Position Summary
The Lecturer is responsible for the strategic leadership, academic integrity, accreditation compliance, field-based internships, faculty coordination, and continuous improvement as the program coordinator of the CAS School Leadership program. This role requires deep expertise in educational leadership, New York State certification requirements, accreditation processes, and collaborative partnerships with school districts and external agencies.
The Coordinator supervises full-time and adjunct faculty, oversees internships and advisement, leads assessment and accreditation reporting, and serves as the primary liaison between the university, school districts, and third-party partners.
