Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and trimming trees to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for planting, weeding, mulching, and general upkeep of outdoor spaces.
• Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering schedules.
• Assist with landscape installation projects such as planting shrubs, flowers, and trees; laying hardscape features like patios or walkways; and installing new landscaping elements.
• Conduct snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways clear and accessible.
• Support tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal using appropriate equipment like chainsaws or excavators when necessary.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as mowers, excavators, and other landscaping machinery to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various landscaping tools and machinery safely.
• Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of tree care practices including trimming and pruning techniques.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual labor tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards on all job sites.
