Job Description:
Lab Technician
Location:Naperville, Illinois (Onsite)
Employment Type:Contract
Role Overview
The Lab Technician will perform a variety of routine laboratory
operations under the technical direction of a supervisor. The role will
primarily support a senior researcher focused on synthesis and involves
end-to-end work from synthesis to formulation and application.
Key Responsibilities
Perform polymerization, organic synthesis, and ion exchange resin
development.
Conduct hands-on wet bench chemistry, handle chemicals, and prepare
solutions and dilutions.
Assist in maintaining the productivity and organization of the
research laboratory.
Perform routine analytical characterization and data analysis.
Maintain Standard Operating Procedures and recommend improvements.
Assemble test materials and equipment to expedite test procedures.
Record test results accurately and concisely in a laboratory
notebook.
Assist in analyzing and interpreting experimental data.
Maintain a clean and safe work facility.
Required Qualifications
Education:A B.S. or B.A. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a
related field is required.
Experience:Hands-on organic synthesis lab experience is necessary
for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of laboratory practices, scientific terminology, and
chemical hygiene.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to establish and meet deadlines to produce independent
results.
Capability to work well with other team members.
Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously.
Comfort handling hazardous materials.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is $21.00 per hour. A benefits package
is available to eligible employees.
