Kitchen Operations Supervisor Full Time

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Kitchen Operations Supervisor The Kitchen Operations Supervisor is responsible for coordination and overseeing the work activities of the employees of the Food and Nutrition department.

• Display exceptional customer service skills to all residents, staff and guests of The Highlands Living Center.
• Communicate effectively to Director of Dining Services, clinical nutrition staff, facility staff and the employees of the food and nutrition department for all work-related information.
• Communicate with the Director of Dining Services inventory levels, ordering of supplies, shortages of supplies, and the condition of supplies when received.
• Audit and record refrigeration/freezer temperatures, communicate any and all concerns.
• Coordinate operational functions within the Food and Nutrition Department for the assembling and distribution of resident meals, cold and hot production, nourishments and supplies.
• Monitors and communicates to food service employees typical work activities which may include but are not limited to washing and sanitizing kitchen equipment, work stations, dish-wares and utensils.
• Monitors and communicates all work related information, recipes, inventory and ordering with cook staff.
• Communicates to the Director staffing/schedule requests. Reports any issues or concerns.
• Participate in the production of facility catering events, providing food items of exceptional quality and presentation. Orientate and train new hires of the food and nutrition department. Review with the Director the department standards of sanitation, safety and security to include daily cleaning of work area and proper usage and upkeep of equipment, in accordance with the guidelines established by all state and federal regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
Minimum High School diploma or GED. Must have a minimum of two years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a restaurant or large food service operation. Basic computer skills, knowledgeable of food service software required.
Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

Pay Range: NE, $20.00/hr.-$27.00/hr.

Pay: $20.00 – $27.00 per hour
