Position: Junior Engineer (No Experience Required)
Location: Clearwater, Florida (Must be local to Tampa, Clearwater, or surrounding areas)
6-month contract to hire
Pay Rate: $24 Hourly Based on Experience

Job Description:
This is an entry-level engineering role supporting distribution design projects. Engineers will work under supervision to analyze field survey data and create digital utility maps. The role provides hands-on experience in power distribution while building technical skills and increasing independence over time.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Support utility distribution projects focused on pole design and mapping
- Review field survey packets to identify pole locations and attached assets (wires, transformers, equipment)
- Convert field data into accurate digital distribution maps using internal systems
- Assist with developing construction-ready design packages
- Perform basic engineering calculations and ensure designs meet company and industry standards
- Coordinate with field teams and senior engineers to validate data and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain documentation and support quality control efforts
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited program
- Basic understanding of electricity, power systems, and power quality
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical data
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CAD/GIS exposure is a plus
