Junior Brand Designer – Remote Full Time NEW

This role is an exciting opportunity for a creative brand designer to shape the visual identity of a new coffee roasting and events business in the UK. The project centers on developing a cohesive brand, logo, and mascot that reflect the ambiance of vinyl listening bars and cafés, with a Scandinavian and Japanese-inspired aesthetic. The ideal candidate will bring an illustration-led approach, crafting a visual direction that resonates with urban, design-conscious audiences who value music culture and daily rituals. The collaboration will involve refining a single concept together, ensuring the brand stands out with subtlety and sophistication rather than loud or gimmicky visuals. Reference materials will be provided to guide the creative process, and there is potential for ongoing work as the brand evolves.

Deliverables

• Develop a core illustration style that defines the brand’s visual language
• Design a simple, memorable logo or wordmark
• Create a coffee bag or sleeve concept utilizing the illustration style
• Optionally, produce supporting icons or graphic elements to complement the brand
• Collaborate closely to refine and finalize one cohesive concept
• Incorporate feedback and adapt designs to align with the brand’s vision and target audience

Requirements

• Strong portfolio showcasing brand, illustration, and packaging design, ideally with experience in music, café, or lifestyle sectors
• Proficiency in illustration and graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Ability to interpret and translate reference materials into a unique visual direction
• Excellent communication skills and openness to collaborative creative direction
• Understanding of Scandinavian and Japanese design aesthetics
• Attention to detail and a refined, minimalist approach to branding
• Availability for initial project with potential for future collaboration
