Centraleyes is a cloud-based software company building modern risk, compliance, and AI-enabled product capabilities. We are looking for a motivated early-career engineer who wants to gain hands-on experience building real-world AI and cloud-based software in a fast-moving product environment.
We are seeking a Junior AI Developer Engineer to join our engineering team and work closely with the CTO and other developers. This is a Python-first, backend-oriented role focused on AWS-based development, automation, AI feature implementation, and building production-ready software components that integrate into our existing GitHub-driven engineering workflow.

Key Responsibilities
– Develop Python-based backend services, internal tools, and AI-related integrations
– Support the implementation of AI infrastructure and cloud-native services in AWS
– Build, test, debug, and deploy software aligned with existing engineering standards and workflows
– Work with APIs, automation processes, data pipelines, and applied AI development patterns
– Collaborate with the current engineering team to deliver maintainable, production-ready code
– Assist with troubleshooting, documentation, and ongoing feature development
– Contribute to the foundation of new AI-driven product capabilities
Required Qualifications
– Strong working knowledge of Python and solid software engineering fundamentals
– Early-career experience through work, internships, academic projects, or meaningful personal development work
– Familiarity with AWS cloud services and deployment concepts, especially serverless or cloud-native environments
– Understanding of APIs, debugging, testing, version control, and collaborative development practices
– Exposure to AI development concepts such as model integrations, prompt-based workflows, automations, or data-driven applications
– Experience using Git and GitHub in a development workflow
– Strong analytical thinking, professionalism, and ability to learn quickly
– Ability to work in a hybrid role based in New Jersey
Preferred Qualifications
– Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, EC2, or CloudWatch
– Exposure to AI development tools and environments such as AWS Bedrock, OpenAI APIs, Hugging Face, LangChain, embeddings, vector databases, or retrieval-based workflows
– Relevant coursework, certifications, or structured learning in AI, cloud engineering, machine learning, or software development
– Personal, academic, internship, or open-source projects involving Python, cloud deployment, APIs, or AI applications
– Familiarity with Node.js and/or Angular as secondary skills

Location
