Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The Junior Software Tester will assist in testing software applications, identifying bugs, and ensuring products meet quality standards before release. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in software testing and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual testing for web, mobile, and software applications.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and technical issues.
- Create and maintain test cases, test scripts, and testing documentation.
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members to resolve software bugs.
- Perform functional, regression, and usability testing.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure software meets business requirements.
- Assist with preparing QA reports and testing summaries.
- Participate in Agile or Scrum meetings and development activities.
- Support continuous improvement of testing processes and quality standards.
- Ensure accurate documentation of testing activities and results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts and QA methodologies.
- Familiarity with web and mobile applications.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
- Good written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and testing tools.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, or Postman.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Interest in automation testing and quality assurance processes.
