Operations Analyst Intelligent Wealth Solutions (IWS) | Austin, TX
About the Role
Intelligent Wealth Solutions, the asset management arm of Waterloo Capital, is seeking an Operations Analyst to support our Investment Operations function. In this role, you will own the repeatable, rules-based work that keeps our strategies running cleanly each day, allowing the senior investment team to focus on client management, business growth, and strategic initiatives.
This is a detail-intensive, process-driven position well suited to someone who takes pride in precision, follow-through, and a strong sense of ownership.
This role will be onsite in Austin, TX.
What You’ll Do
You will execute the daily operational work tied to IWS strategies, account onboarding, monitoring, and reporting. Core responsibilities include:
Daily Audits and Reporting
- Run daily audit reports covering negative quantity and cash positions
- Review custodial restrictions across Schwab and Fidelity
- Maintain and develop internal standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Account Setup and Trade Preparation
- Add restrictions, assign accounts to models, configure workflows, and complete account preparation steps ahead of trading
- Track and flag any changes to existing security restrictions
Ongoing Portfolio Monitoring
- Monitor cash levels across models daily, watching for both low and high cash positions
- Monitor model drift levels daily
- Run portfolio analytics on a weekly basis
- Complete performance reporting data uploads for the models
Operational Support
- Handle Salesforce operational tasks supporting the broader investments function
A central part of this role is recognizing when something looks off in the process and escalating it promptly to the right person.
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Comfort with repetitive, process-driven work
- Strong follow-through and a sense of ownership
- Genuine interest in operations, process improvement, or scaling a business
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
Preferred
- Experience with Salesforce, Black Diamond, or other CRM platforms
- Series 65 license (or willingness to complete it within two months of starting)
- Exposure to managed accounts or model portfolios
- 1-2 years of experience in financial services
Compensation
$60,000 – $70,000
