Full Job Description
Vita Plus Corporation is an employee-owned company dedicated to serving dairy and livestock producers with high-quality feed manufacturing and expert consulting services. Established in 1948, the organization is committed to innovation in nutrition, technology, and management practices to support its clients’ success.
Regional livestock feed delivery for Vita Plus/SF Transport to customers within an 800-mile radius of Loyal, Wisconsin. Return to Loyal daily or every other day. Haul our own products 80% of the time in bulk hoppers or dry van trailers. Unload products at feed production facilities and farms, with backhauls.
Interstate Delivery Driver
FUNCTION: Transport general freight, ingredients and finished feeds.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to Federal DOT regulations.
- Operate the vehicle safely.
- Deliver bulk, bagged and “piece” loads to the correct customer.
- Move the correct product following loading, unloading, cleaning and bio-security procedures.
- Complete designated paperwork.
- Maintain a clean and neat vehicle.
- Courteous and professional customer contact.
OTHER ASSIGNMENTS:
- General housekeeping.
- Equipment maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Environmental conditions: dust, inclement weather, excessive noise
- Uneven/slippery work surfaces
- Multiple work levels -ladder, stairs, ramps,
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Lift 75# up to shoulder height
- Approved driver qualification file with Class A CDL required
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders, bins, stairs and ramps.
