Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious meals according to standardized recipes and dietary requirements
• Plan menus in collaboration with dietitians to ensure balanced, appealing options for diverse patient needs
• Handle food safely by following strict sanitation and hygiene protocols to prevent contamination
• Assist with food presentation and plating to ensure meals are visually appealing and appetizing
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas in compliance with health regulations
• Support catering services for hospital events or special patient programs as needed
• Serve meals efficiently to patients, staff, and visitors while ensuring excellent customer service

Experience

• Previous experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide within healthcare or food service environments
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling techniques
• Familiarity with menu planning and meal assembly for diverse dietary restrictions and preferences
• Experience in fine dining or restaurant settings demonstrating high-quality food presentation and service standards
• Knowledge of food safety practices, including proper knife skills, sanitation procedures, and allergen management
• Exposure to catering or large-scale food service operations is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail
