Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician Full Time

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
• Perform plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as drainage and water supply connections.
• Conduct equipment repairs using tools like ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to ensure system functionality.
• Diagnose electrical problems within HVAC/R systems and perform necessary repairs or component replacements.
• Maintain detailed service records, logs of inspections, repairs performed, and parts used for each job.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards including proper handling of ammonia refrigeration systems and adherence to environmental regulations.
• Assist with property maintenance tasks related to heating and cooling systems to improve overall building comfort and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar mechanical field with construction background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and ventilation equipment.
• Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans accurately.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience in appliance repair, plumbing, welding, and equipment repair techniques.
• Familiarity with field service procedures involving property maintenance and appliance troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred for transportation between job sites.
• Hands-on experience with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters; familiarity with HVAC/R controls is advantageous.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to refrigerants, ammonia systems, welding procedures, and general maintenance practices.

Pay: $26.00 – $35.00 per hour
