Medical Support Assistant (MSA) – VA Colorado Health System

We are actively hiring Medical Support Assistants (MSAs) to support the VA Colorado Health System through a large federal healthcare initiative supporting veterans nationwide.

This is a 100% onsite position with opportunities available at clinic locations in Aurora or Denver, Colorado.

Position Details

• Contract Length: 1-year contract with strong potential for extension
• Start Date: 6-weeks of onboarding paperwork to complete
• Pay Rate: $22.29/hour

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
• Provide administrative and customer support to veterans and clinical staff
• Answer inbound calls and assist patients professionally
• Verify and update patient information
• Navigate multiple healthcare systems and documentation platforms
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
• Support daily clinic operations and patient care coordination

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare, medical office, scheduling, call center, or administrative experience preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Ability to multitask and navigate multiple computer systems
• Reliable attendance and professionalism required

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
• Must be able to pass a federal background investigation
• No criminal background within the last 7 years
• Must complete typing assessments during the hiring process
