Requirements:
High school diploma
1-3 years of administrative or office support experience
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of accountability and follow-through
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
Preferred:
Exposure to personal injury law, insurance, or healthcare-related processes
Proficiency in Excel
Job Overview:
The Health Insurance Lien Specialist supports the management and resolution of liens related to client settlements, including Medicaid, Medicare, and ERISA claims. This role works closely with attorneys, clients, and insurance providers to track lien status, gather and submit documentation, and help ensure timely processing.
Responsibilities include coordinating with payers, maintaining accurate records, and supporting case progression through clear communication and consistent follow-through.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. A positive attitude and willingness to take initiative will set you up for success.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate with clients via phone, email, text, and meetings
Manage health insurance liens on client settlements (Medicaid, Medicare, ERISA)
Track lien status, deadlines, and required actions
Communicate with insurers to obtain lien amounts and support resolution
Prepare and submit lien-related documentation and disputes
Maintain organized records of lien activity and case documentation
Coordinate with attorneys and internal teams to support case progression
Ensure timely follow-up and compliance with applicable requirements
